It sounds like it's better to fry with, I love frying in butter (naughty, naughty) but you know it burns so easily. I'm going to make this pie soon.Taniahttp://www.taniaskitchen.co.nz/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3600104279112331871.post-27119651429971760102017-05-04T10:38:56.210+10:002017-05-04T10:38:56.210+10:00Hi Tania. It is simmered slightly longer than regular clarified butter so that the water evaporates off and you are left with pure butterfat. It has a higher smoking point than most other fats. It tastes like butter. You can use melted butter if you prefer.Milk and Honeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11875644940550457953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3600104279112331871.post-47740093535535999692017-05-03T19:44:55.113+10:002017-05-03T19:44:55.113+10:00This looks lovely, great combination and I love ve...This looks lovely, great combination and I love vegetarian pies. I was surprised by the ghee, what does it taste like and how does it compare to using butter on the filo?
