BBQ Chicken Pizza



  
First there's the pizza base,


then comes the passata,


then the shredded BBQ chicken,


then the CHEESE,


then the caramelised onion,


then, lastly, the BBQ sauce.

I had some barbecue chicken left over from the other night, so I thought I'd make pizza... I'm full of good ideas.



BBQ Chicken Pizza

Pizza dough (I make my own -  recipe here)
Tomato passata
BBQ chicken (I used my leftover Barbecue Beer Crockpot Chicken)
1/2 cup freshly grated mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons caramelised onions (You can caramelise them yourself, or do what I did and use these)
2 tablespoons of your favourite BBQ sauce (I used Sweet Baby Ray's)

Preheat your oven to 230 degrees C fan-forced.

Roll your pizza dough out to your desired thickness. Place it on baking tray (I use a perforated pizza tray) lined with baking paper.

Spread the dough with a thin layer of tomato passata (not too much). Then spread over the chicken and cheese and dollop over the caramelised onions. Finish with a drizzle of BBQ sauce.

Bake the pizza for about 10 minutes, depending on how thick the base is, until golden and the cheese is melted and the base is cooked.
