Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

Chocolate ... Peanut Butter ... Banana. Does it get any better? If you've been reading my blog for any length of time, you'll know about my obsession with these three ingredients. When I found some Peanut and Cacao spread at my local supermarket, I thought it must have been made especially for me. With this spread, I'm never more than a few spoonfuls and a frozen banana away from getting my fix in liquid form. I think I may need an intervention.

NOTE: This is not a sponsored post. I'm pretty sure Mayver's doesn't even know I exist, I just really like the stuff.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
Makes 1 large serving

1 frozen banana
1 heaped tablespoon of Mayver's Peanut and Cacao Spread, or more to taste. (I get mine from Coles.)
1 tablespoon white chia seeds
350ml milk (I used low fat cow's milk, but use whatever milk float's your boat... or agrees with your tummy.)

Put all the ingredients into a blender and blitz to smithereens. The banana adds enough sweetness for me, but if you like it a little sweeter, add some agave nectar to taste. Cheers.

  1. Totally happening for breakfast tomorrow! Lucky I'm going grocery shopping tonight - I am going to hunt down a jar of that spread, and then hide it from myself before I eat it straight from the jar with a spoon!

  3. No intervention needed! You're a normal person, it's all the others that aren't excited about those ingredients or your smoothie that would need an intervention! Seriously, this smoothie couldn't be more amazing than this :)

  8. I am addicted to all of the Mayver's spreads, I've been buying them ever since I discovered their tahini a few years ago. SO GOOD! This smoothie looks absolutely divine Jen. So glad that deliciousness can actually be good for you also. You know what? I can imagine dumping this entire mixture into my ice cream churner and creating a killer frozen dessert. YUM.
